As summer winds to a close and we head full-speed into the busy season of September and October, AI is pleased to relate that we’ve made two additions to our team.  Raj Shah andKristen Bova have both joined us in the last several weeks.

Raj has relocated from Hartford, where he was an intellectual property attorney; previously he has worked in government relations and software development.  He’ll be taking an active role in AI’s emerging solutions business line, ensuring we have a robust intellectual property framework for the tools we’ve developed for current and future clients.  He will also be active as a project manager and business development lead.  Raj is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Howard University School of Law.

Kristen joins AI from Duke, where she graduated with a degree in biomedical engineering in May.  Kristen’s background positions her well to jump into our fast-growing health information technology practice alongside Scott Afzal.  Welcome aboard Scott and Kristen!  The additions in staff come at a moment when AI has just inked a web portal development contract with a prominent financial services firm in Baltimore.  In a time when the overall economic outlook is cloudy, we’re encouraged that the market for AI’s niche management and technology consulting services continues to appear strong.

On a separate note, kudos to our superstar summer interns, David Rodriguez;(Vanderbilt) and Yanislav Petrov;(Harvard).  Both did an excellent job researching and writing a business plan for a new AI solution under consideration.  They also quite impressively completed our GSA, Md. MBE, and Baltimore City MBE applications, all while managing to see Baltimore and have a little fun.  The Baltimore MBE was just approved today, and we couldn’t have done it without David and Yani.  Thanks and good luck in the fall semester, guys.
