Ai became a certified B Corporation in December of 2010 to share our commitment to using the power of business to solve social problems and provide public benefit. To maintain our certification as a B Corporation, we must maintain rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. As a B Corporation, our organization is committed to more than just our bottom line - we are passionate about improving healthcare IT across the country, and our employees find fulfillment in helping others.
Being one of the first recognized B Corporations in Maryland, Ai is accustomed to paving the way and leading by example. In 2013, Ai was the first of its kind to provide notifications to doctors when their patients get admitted or discharged from hospitals (through our care coordination tool - ENS®), and each day our team works to build on that momentum.
Security and Privacy
Ai takes the privacy and security of the sensitive data entrusted to us very seriously. Cybersecurity threats are constantly evolving, so we work diligently to continuously improve and advance our privacy and security protocols to ensure the safety of our customers’ information.
In the interest of demonstrating our team’s commitment to following industry best-practices for data security and risk management, Ai has earned certification from two of the leading standards organizations: the Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) and the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC).
Ai’s care-coordination solutions, including the Encounter Notification Service® (ENS®), PROMPT, and Unified Landing Page (ULP®) earned HITRUST CSF Certified status for our work to adhere to a framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls developed by top information security professionals and to apply industry-leading standards for the security of sensitive data.
Ai has additionally achieved two distinct accreditations from EHNAC: the “Outsourced Services Accreditation Program for Health Information Exchange Services” (OSAP-HIE), which demonstrates that Ai’s software and services relating to electronic health information exchange including are aligned with nationally recognized standards for security and data integrity; and the “Cloud-Enabled Accreditation Program” (CEAP), for exceptional security practices for the exchange of healthcare data across cloud-enabled applications and platforms.
