By undergoing a third-party review of Audacious Inquiry’s security processes, the company demonstrates a commitment to industry best practices for health information exchange

Baltimore, MD., May 7, 2018– Audacious Inquiry (Ai), a healthcare IT and policy company that provides bold solutions for connected healthcare, achieved two distinct accreditations from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC), an independent third-party standards development organization and accrediting body. Ai received full accreditation from EHNAC for two programs: the “Outsourced Services Accreditation Program for Health Information Exchange Services” (OSAP-HIE) which assesses the security infrastructure of HIE technology service providers, and the “Cloud-Enabled Accreditation Program” (CEAP) which certifies that organizations meet rigorous security standards for the exchange of healthcare data across cloud-enabled platforms and applications.

Through the consultative review process for the OSAP-HIE certification, EHNAC evaluated Ai in security infrastructure, risk management, systems availability, and transaction response time. Additionally, EHNAC evaluated Ai’s process for electronic clinical data exchange and certified that it met or exceeded nationally recognized standards for security and data integrity.

Ai achieved the additional CEAP accreditation by demonstrating superior capabilities in the areas of technical performance, business processes, and resource management for cloud-enabled services. EHNAC assessed Ai’s health information and oversight for meeting privacy and security, HIPAA, HITECH, Omnibus Rule and ACA requirements, as well as technical performance, business processes and resource management.

Rob Horst, who leads privacy and security at Ai, stated, “As Ai expands our nationwide footprint, we recognize the importance of identifying risks, strengthening security controls, and surpassing industry standards to deliver trusted health IT solutions to our customers.”

The accreditations apply toward data services and software provided by Ai to customers including health information exchanges, health plans, accountable care organizations, providers, and health departments across eleven states.
