
Former CMS leader and distinguished innovator enhances Audacious Inquiry’s offering of interoperability solutions for Medicaid
Baltimore, MD., December 12, 2018 – Audacious Inquiry (Ai), a health information technology company providing industry-leading interoperability and care coordination solutions, announced today the appointment of Penny Thompson to their Board of Directors. With extensive experience leading large business units for healthcare and health IT organizations across public and private sectors, Ms. Thompson brings a deep understanding of strategy and operations to Ai.
Ms. Thompson works with healthcare executives to develop growth plans and opportunities for improving technology and policy operations. She also serves on the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC), which advises Congress on Medicaid and CHIP issues.
Ms. Thompson has previously held senior leadership positions at both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General. She is a past recipient of the Presidential Rank Award, received by the top 1% of the Senior Executive Service in the country for outstanding leadership.
For Hewlett Packard’s EDS Division, Ms. Thompson directed healthcare strategy and planning for both commercial and state government accounts and was an advisor to EDS’s federal healthcare portfolio.
