A quality measurement solution that works for you

The CQM Aligned Population Health Reporting (CAliPHR) tool helps providers meet the electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) reporting requirements of federal and state incentive and value-based payment programs. CAliPHR is designed to calculate eCQMs at a provider, practice, payment arrangement, and community level to support incentive and value-based payment programs. It achieves this by allowing you to aggregate data from all of your EHR and practice management systems, as well as from healthcare organizations throughout the care continuum, to serve your various eCQM reporting needs.

CAliPHR, v1.0.0 has achieved ONC HIT 2014 Edition modular EHR certification*, which designates that the software is capable of supporting eligible providers (EPs) with meeting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

* The additional types of costs and limitations that a user may encounter in the course of implementing and using this Modular EHR’s capabilities, whether to meet meaningful use objectives and measures or to achieve any other use within the scope of the health IT’s certification, include:

  • There may be a one-time implementation fee and yearly licensing/maintenance charges incurred for the use of CAliPHR.
  • If a user elects to transmit their clinical data to CAliPHR using the C-CDA instead of the QRDA Category 1 data format, the number of CQMs possible, and the accuracy of their results may be impacted.

How Can CAliPHR Help You?

  • Practices and providers will be able to report their eCQMs for the EHR Incentive Program and MIPS electronically through CAliPHR.

  • Custom eCQMs can be loaded and calculated in CAliPHR to support a range of reporting needs.

  • CAliPHR is capable of calculating eCQMs from various standard formats (e.g. C-CDA, QRDA, and HL7) and custom flat files.

  • CAliPHR is 2014 Edition certified for eCQM criteria (will be 2015 Edition Certified by June 30th, 2017).

Why CAliPHR?

As the healthcare landscape shifts from the traditional fee-for-service model to value-based payment models or alternative payment models, where incentives are based on outcomes, there is an imperative need for innovative health IT that is built around the patient, regardless of where the patient seeks care.

  • Aggregates data from various health care settings across the continuum for you.

  • More accurate and reliable measure results.

  • Calculates eCQMs based on a complete, longitudinal view of each patient’s medical history.

  • Produces better care, smarter spending, and healthier people.

How does it work?

CAliPHR relies on incoming consolidated-clinical document architecture (C-CDA), or quality reporting document architecture category 1 (QRDA 1) feeds from providers. These feeds are generated and sent by a health system’s or practice’s electronic health record (EHR), and the clinical information is stored in CAliPHR’s clinical data repository. CAliPHR’s calculation engine then utilizes this data to calculate various eCQMs. A QRDA 3 file containing aggregated, de-identified data is generated for reporting purposes. Providers have access to a user portal that allows them to view their respective measure results and patient level data.
