Opt-Out of Notifications from a CMS Hospital-Mandated Program

You have received notifications as part of a CMS hospital- mandated program that requires hospitals to notify a patient’s identified Primary Care Providers (PCPs), post-acute provider, and any designated practitioner responsible for their care, for a patient’s admission, discharge, or transfer for an emergency, inpatient, or observation status encounter. A patient has given your name as his/her provider to the hospital during their stay and because of the CMS requirement a notification was generated and sent to you.

The way you have received these notifications may not be ideal for you, but this is just one of the ways that the message can be sent. By becoming a subscriber, you can customize your experience. From selecting the notification events that you would like to be notified about to carefully tailoring the experience to best fit your workflow, you can indicate the information you want in order to provide the best care for your patients. In addition to those patients that have provided your name during their hospital stay, you can also submit a list of patients that you would like to follow and receive alerts on as well.

These alerts were sent as part of the notification service provided by Texas Health Services Authority (THSA). This service provides information about hospital encounters to support effective care, timely follow-up, and care coordination for patients.
