Baltimore, MD., November 7, 2018 – Audacious Inquiry (Ai), a health information technology company providing industry-leading care coordination solutions, today announced the addition of Keith Boone to their team of experts in healthcare interoperability.

Keith has two decades of standards development and implementation, and more than a decade of standards leadership experience.  He will represent Ai to Health Level 7, Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), and other organizations developing health IT standards and implementation guides.  He also brings his experience in natural language processing, information retrieval, machine learning, XML, and health IT standards to augment Ai’s product offerings, and in standards development and training to assist regional, state and national initiatives in raising the bar for health information exchange.

“Keith is a proven thought leader in health IT standards whose pioneering work has significantly contributed to major interoperability initiatives nationwide,” said Scott Afzal, president of Ai. “We are excited for the depth of experience and expertise he will add to our team as we continue to further our mission of enabling seamless health information exchange across the country.”

Prior to Ai, Mr. Boone was a Standards Geek at GE Healthcare and Dictaphone, and most recently Interop Guru for Virence Health where he led development efforts on their API Server. He has consulted for HIE projects in Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, and national programs in the US, Canada, the European Union and the Middle East; and he has been an invited guest teaching about Health IT standards at Boston University, Intermountain Healthcare, Johns Hopkins, King Saud University, Northeastern University, Mitre Corporation, Oregon Health and Science University, Stonehill College and the University of Utah. He has chaired committees in HL7, IHE, HITSP, served one term on the board of directors of IHE, and three terms on the board at HL7. He received his Masters of Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health and Science University.

Keith joins Ai on the heels of several key organizational changes at Ai and growth investment by ABS Capital. Ai’s cloud-based solutions leverage open APIs and accredited interoperability standards to facilitate care coordination. Audacious Inquiry was recently admitted to the Inc. 5000® “Hall of Fame,” having appeared on the list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States for eight consecutive years.
